Low Cost, Less Stress, Resolutions Since 1987
What is Mediation? .jpg)
Mediation is a process which allows parties to explore different ways to resolve their dispute with the help of a trained nutral third-party. The mediator assists the parties in identifying the issues, prioritizing the interests, and determining what method of dispute resolution will best serve the parties needs. The mediator does not act as a judge or an attorney, nor does the mediator tell the parties how to solve their dispute, but assists them in developing productive discussions and creative solutions.
What is a Mediator?
The role of the mediator is to facilitate communication between the parties, assist them in focusing on the real issues of the dispute, and generate options that meet the interests or needs of all parties in an effort to resolve the conflict.
Why Use Mediation?
1. Lower costs than litigation.
2. Not binding unless you reach a resolution.
3. Confidential. Nothing said or discussed at mediation can ever be used in litigation if a resolution is not reached.
4. Allows the parties, not the court, to make decisions affecting their future.
5. Lower stress than a trial.
